Get Ready For The Fourth Of July!!

Steinhatchee has had a wonderful fireworks display here over the years and this year the Chamber is hosting the event.

We are asking for donations from local businesses and cans are in businsses to take donations from individuals.

•  The Festivities Will Begin At 5pm
• 3rd Ave S and 11th St which surround the Community Center will be
  closed to traffic starting at 2 pm.
• Riverside Drive will be closed at 5pm between the Bridge and 11th St. 
• The Bridge itself will close at about 8:15 to set up for shooting the fireworks and
  stay closed until after 9:30pm

It is important that folks know this so they are on the side of the river they want to be on by then because it will be after 9:30 before they can use the bridge again (depends on length of display). 

The festivities will begin at 5pm with live music, food vendors and various activities for young and old alike:  kids games, water balloon catapult, watermelon seed spitting, Twinkie eating contest and the highlight will be a chance to win a canoe by entering a “Hole in One” contest for $5.
