“What makes Steinhatchee Special”
The categories are as follows: K – 1 – draw a picture about the theme,
Grades 2 – 3 – Write a 100 word essay about the theme,
Grades 4 –5 – Write a 250 word essay about the theme,
Grades 6-8 – Write a 500 word essay about the theme.
Prizes – a US Savings Bond to each category winner, 2 nd and 3 rd place ribbons and honorable mention ribbons to all who enter.
The Board of Directors will be the judge.
The essays will be displayed at the “Steinhappy” Holiday Shop on December 6, 2008.
The winners will be announced at the December 11 th Chamber open house.
Area Events
On Saturday, April 18, 2009, Mel Tillis will be performing a benefit concert at 8:00pm at the Gulfstream Motel & Marina in Steinhatchee, Florida. Mel has invited his friends and other coutnry stars to attend the fishing tournament. Check their website periodically to see who else will be here. The entire weekend is sure to have surprises in store.
